An emerald tissue chanderi saree checked all over in fine gold zari. The loom draws the grid; the hand decides which squares to fill. Across the pallu and along the border, alternate checks are filled in by hand with gold sequins and moti, so the pattern reads as a chequerboard that has been half completed on purpose - dense where the drape gathers at the shoulder, thinning out into plain weave across the body.

A maroon thread pipes every edge, and maroon and gold tassels run the length of the pallu.

Siddhi means the thing arrived at. Emerald is the collection's long green season - the months before there is anything to give away - and this is the saree for the day that has been planned for a while: the morning of, not the night before.
